We're looking for talented Cloud Security Engineers to join our Threat Detection and Response and Cloud Security Team. This team will help defend HashiCorp through strategic detection, response, and prevention patterns across all of our products and the enterprise. This person will be responsible for creating patterns and tooling to ensure our environments are always secure and aid in detection development. 

As a member of our Security team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring we have the best practices implemented across our multi-cloud environment.  You will partner with engineering and other stakeholders to define and drive secure by default environments supporting  our products and the enterprise.  Tooling and automation will be key to success as we scale our environments to meet customer demand.

Engineering at HashiCorp is largely a remote team. While prior experience working remotely isn't required, we are looking for team members who perform well given a high level of independence and autonomy.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Define and drive secure by default in the cloud.
  • Create tooling to monitor and respond to infrastructure misconfigurations.
  • Collaborate with the red team to continuously assess the environment.
  • Collaborate with the threat detection team to define infrastructure based detections and response playbooks.
  • Ensure the team has proper visibility across cloud environments.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 3+ years of work experience with managing and securing infrastructure and services in a Cloud Platform (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Experience in developing production applications in the cloud.
  • Demonstrated technical experience across related security disciplines (e.g. appsec, intrusion detection and response, network security, infrastructure security, operating system hardening, etc).
  • Development experience in Python or Go.
  • Ability to prioritize and track multiple projects in parallel.
  • Previous experience working in collaborative security teams.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in Azure and GCP
  • Speaking / publishing in Tier 1 security conferences 
  • Publicly released tools or modules
