About Consul

Consul helps organizations automate network configurations, discover services, and enable secure connectivity across any cloud or runtime. We develop tools for service discovery, config management, and health monitoring. Our customers place a high level of trust in us, relying on our tools to operate their own infrastructure and software optimally, so we care deeply about reliability and performance.

About the position

You’ll be part of a team building the future of Consul’s Web UI application as we look to expand its capabilities and further empower Consul users to manage their clusters. Today, the app provides information at a glance about the user’s service mesh, including network topology, service health, ACL configuration, KV store, and more. You’ll play a crucial role in extending the capabilities of the Consul UI to unlock its potential for managing Consul clusters through intuitive, beautiful UIs that aim to simplify the complexity of the product. • Collaborating with other specialists on the core team on driving API changes vital to build the best user experience for our users

We are a small but growing team, and this role will give you the opportunity to influence architectural and engineering decisions as we scale.

  • Work with multiple cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure
  • Provide code review, mentorship, and support to HashiCorp employees, community members, and partners

You may be a great fit if some of the following apply:

  • Experience with front-end frameworks and libraries (Ember, React, Svelte, Vue, etc.)
  • Experience as a technical lead
  • Value communication, kindness, and pragmatism as much as technical skill
  • Passionate about mentorship and coaching
  • Documentation and comments help you better understand your code
