Sr. Director, WW Human Resources Business Partner
LOCATION: SAN FRANCISCO HQ (Local Candidates only please)

HashiCorp is looking for a Sr. Director, WW Human Resources Business Partner who will initially be our primary business partner until we build out the HR business partner team. The role requires a strategic thought partner with a business-focused mindset to help grow and scale HashiCorp as we double and triple in size. You will have responsibility for employees in multiple geographic locations including our fully remote engineering organization. You will create and deliver HR support and services such as global performance management, training and international compensation programs.

Reporting to the VP, People, the Sr. Director, HRBP will be a key member of the People Team, and will operate as a trusted advisor and business partner serving as the expert on people and organizational issues. The successful candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with significant and exciting change.


  • Serve as a strategic business partner and as an employee champion for all.

  • Understand business strategies and how to develop high impact people initiatives in a collaborative style
  • Lead and manage global and local HR programs
  • Strong collaboration skills within and outside of HR with a passion for D&I
  • Serve as a role model and thought leader on People issues and coach employees in their development


  • 10-15 years of experience in an innovative business with progressively increased levels of responsibility.  At least 5 years experience at dynamic tech company as a Director is required.
  • Strong project management and planning skills with the ability to consistently deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Manage company wide initiatives with minimal supervision and focus on high quality results.
  • Hands on approach willing to roll up sleeves to deliver results
  • Ability to assess an organization, identify gaps, and develop solutions aligned to business objectives - Understand current state, future state, gaps and priorities to deliver on our business and people goals
  • Provide thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution
  • Key attributes required - Sense of humor, kindness, humility and integrity


  • Bachelor’s degree is required. An MBA or master’s degree, in a related field, is preferred
