A new outlook on network automation involves the creation of automation flows between your service networking control plane, your infrastructure provisioning platform, and your network devices.

HashiCorp and Palo Alto Networks recently collaborated on a strategy for this using HashiCorp's Network Infrastructure Automation (NIA). This works by triggering a Terraform workflow that automatically updates Palo Alto resources based on changes it detects from the Consul catalog facilitated by Consul-Terraform-Sync (CTS).
