Implementing Unit Tests for Terraform with Open Policy Agent

HUG community member and Microsoft engineer Dave Strebel demonstrates how to use Open Policy Agent to implement unit tests for your Terraform plans.

Running unit tests against your Terraform plans can help reduce burden of review, catch issues before applying plans, and also help developers sanity check their changes.

Coming out of this session, you will get an understanding of how Open Policy Agent and Terraform work together. You'll also take away enough knowledge to start implementing Open Policy Agent to unit test your Terraform Plans.

This talk was part of the first HashiTalks online event—A 24-hour continuous series of presentations from the worldwide HashiCorp User Group (HUG) community and from HashiCorp engineers as well. The event took place from February 21-22, 2019.
