Using HashiCorp Vault with Google's Serverless Solutions

JP Robinson, an engineer at The New York Times, shares an innovative new way to use Vault with Google's serverless platform.

At The New York Times, engineers have built a small library to streamline their secrets workflow around HashiCorp Vault and Google Cloud.

This talk will walk through how NYT developers interact with Vault and how they access secrets from Google's App Engine and Cloud Functions via the Go programming language.

You can read more about the NYT's engineering efforts with serverless secrets management on their Times Open engineering blog

This talk was part of the first HashiTalks online event—A 24-hour continuous series of presentations from the worldwide HashiCorp User Group (HUG) community and from HashiCorp engineers as well.

The event took place from February 21-22, 2019.
