  • IP & Media Rights: By attending, you consent to IBM photographing, filming, or recording you and using these materials for promotional purposes worldwide, in any media, in perpetuity.

  • Applicable Law: These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York; disputes will be adjudicated in New York County courts.

»Registration Terms and Conditions

Minimum Age Requirement

All attendees must be at least 18 years old on the day they collect their badge, to attend the conference. All attendees must comply with age requirements; IBM reserves the right to verify age and deny entry if requirements are not met.

Government/Public Sector/Academia Rate Disclaimer

Discount

Government, public sector and academia may be offered a discounted rate (“Discount”). Attendees registering under the government/public sector rate must: Use a valid government, military, or academic email address (e.g., .gov, .mil, .edu, .us, .state.xx.us, or equivalent) during registration, and present both (1) an employer-issued ID or official proof of government employment (e.g., agency letter or pay stub), and (2) a government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license or passport) at check-in. Misrepresentation of eligibility may result in denial of entry without refund and may be reported to appropriate authorities.

Discount Eligibility

The Discount is available only to employees of government agencies and entities at the federal, state, local, and national levels, as well as organizations engaged in core public sector functions such as defense, infrastructure, public safety, education, transportation, health, social services, and tax administration.

Anti-Bribery and Compliance:

Sponsors and attendees agree to comply with all applicable anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws, including the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and UK Bribery Act. Any violation may result in immediate termination of participation without refund.

Sanctions and Trade Compliance

You represent and warrant that your participation in the Event complies with all applicable economic sanctions, export control, and trade compliance laws and regulations. IBM reserves the right to deny or terminate participation, access to Event content, or registration benefits if IBM determines, in its reasonable discretion, that such participation could result in a violation of applicable law or IBM compliance obligations.

IBM Rights & Limitations

IBM may, at its sole discretion, cancel registrations that do not meet applicable requirements. If IBM rescinds your registration and refunds your payment, IBM is not responsible for any incidental costs, including airfare, hotel, or other related expenses. Misrepresentation of eligibility may result in denial of entry without refund and may be reported to appropriate authorities.

Assignment and Affiliates

IBM may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms and Conditions, in whole or in part, to an affiliate or in connection with a corporate reorganization, merger, sale of assets, or similar transaction. You may not assign or transfer your registration or any rights under these Terms and Conditions without IBM’s prior written consent. These Terms and Conditions apply for the benefit of IBM’s affiliates, event partners, and authorized service providers.

Privacy

IBM will process personal data in compliance with its privacy statement. IBM’s privacy statement is available at https://www.ibm.com/privacy. By registering, you consent to IBM’s use of your data for event administration and related communications. Government-issued IDs will be verified at check-in, but this information will NOT be retained by IBM.

In Person Badge Scanning

You may be asked to have your badge scanned at an in-person event. If you agree to having your badge scanned, this will serve as your authorization for IBM to share your contact information with event exhibitors who scanned you solely for the purpose of their following up on your interaction with them. You will be given notice before any badge scanning and whether you choose to participate is entirely optional and at your discretion, and you may choose to not participate. Use of your contact information by an exhibitor is governed by its respective privacy policy. IBM's transmission of said data to exhibitors shall not be deemed as IBM securing permission for said exhibitors to send you marketing materials. IBM assumes NO responsibility for exhibitor use of this data. Sponsors must comply with applicable privacy laws and may not share data with third parties.

Technology

IBM will be using your registration information to facilitate the preparation and execution process for this event. At in-person events, IBM may use tracking technology such as Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), iBeacons or QRCodes to track your location around the event. When IBM makes use of such technologies, you will be informed accordingly at the registration desk and upon delivery of your badge. This information and past marketing interactions with IBM will be used to understand what activities you attend, in order to improve future events, to help create a more personalized experience for you at the event or in the follow up event activities. If you do not wish us to track your activities on a personal basis as specified above, please contact the registration desk immediately. The availability and functionality of such technologies may vary, and IBM is not responsible for technical errors, interruptions, or system limitations.

IBM Digital Badges

If digital badges are issued, IBM will use a third-party data processor authorized by IBM and located in the United States to help administer the IBM Digital Badge program. To issue you an IBM Digital Badge, IBM will share your personal information (name, email address, and badge earned) with the third party, whichwill email you instructions for claiming your badge.

Your personal information is used to issue your badge and for program reporting and operational purposes. IBM may share this personal information with IBM subsidiaries and third parties worldwide. It will be handled in a manner consistent with IBM privacy practices.

No Reliance; No Warranties

Event descriptions, agendas, speaker lineups, session content, demonstrations, and related materials are provided for general informational purposes only and are subject to change at any time. IBM makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any Event content, or that the Event will meet your expectations or requirements. You acknowledge that your decision to attend is not made in reliance on any specific speaker, session, demonstration, or advertised feature of the Event.

Liability: Conduct & Removal Policy

IBM may remove any participant who engages in harassment, discrimination, violates IBM’s Code of Conduct, safety requirements, or fails to comply with any reasonable request of IBM or conference management. IBM reserves the right to remove attendees for safety violations or disruptive behavior without refund. Removal may include revoking access to in-person or digital events. No refunds will be provided for registration, travel, or related expenses.

Assumption of Risk

Attendance at the Event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, exposure to communicable diseases, property loss or damage, and risks associated with travel to and from the Event, large gatherings, and participation in Event activities. You knowingly and voluntarily assume all such risks, whether known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable, arising out of or relating to your attendance at or participation in the Event, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

Health, Safety, and Medical Services

IBM does not provide medical, health, or emergency services at the Event and does not monitor the health or medical condition of attendees. You are solely responsible for determining whether participation in theEvent is appropriate given your personal health, medical needs, and physical condition. While IBM may implement safety protocols or requirements in its discretion, IBM does not guarantee a safe or risk-free environment.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless IBM, its affiliates, and event partners—including their officers, directors, employees, and agents—from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, (including reasonable attorneys’ fees ) or expenses arising out of or relating to: (a) your breach of these Terms and Conditions; (b) your attendance at or participation in the Event; (c) your conduct in connection with the Event; (d) your violation of applicable law; or (e) any personal injury, death, or property damage caused by you or your guests in connection with the Event.

Breach of these Terms and Conditions, Intellectual property infringement, Confidentiality violations, or any act or omission by you or your guests in connection with the Event.

Liability Disclaimer

IBM and its event partners are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or damages caused by eventsbeyond IBM’s reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, or government actions.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IBM and its affiliates, event partners, sponsors, suppliers, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to the Event or these Terms and Conditions, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. To the extent liability cannot be excluded as a matter of law, IBM’s aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Event will not exceed the total registration fees actually paid by you for the Event.

Comprehensive Release

You acknowledge that IBM Corporation, its third-party show producer, and their respective parent, subsidiary, and affiliated companies maintain no control over independent suppliers providing accommodations or other services as part of the travel or online program. Accordingly, you agree not to hold IBM or its affiliates responsible for any loss or injury caused or contributed to by such suppliers or by any other cause beyond IBM’s direct control. You hereby release IBM and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all liability for claims resulting from acts or omissions of independent suppliers or other services in connection with the Event, or from any other cause beyond IBM’s direct control.

Acknowledgment

By clicking “Continue,” you agree to these terms for yourself and any guests included in your registration. This liability release applies to all participants on this registration.

Photography & Intellectual Property

By attending the Event, you consent to IBM and its authorized partners photographing, filming, or recording you and Event activities. Recordings may include sponsor-branded areas. IBM may use these materials for promotional, informational, and marketing purposes worldwide, in any media, in perpetuity to the extent permitted by applicable law.

All intellectual property rights in IBM-provided materials remain IBM’s property. Attendees retain ownership of any pre-existing intellectual property they bring to the Event. By attending, you grant IBM and its affiliates a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and distribute Event recordings and related materials for Event-related purposes. This license does not transfer ownership of your trademarks or other proprietary rights.

Survival

The provisions relating to liability limitations, indemnification, releases, intellectual property rights, use of recordings and media, governing law and venue, and any other terms which by their nature should survive, will survive the conclusion of the Event and termination of your registration.

Applicable Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles and all matters and any disputes will be adjudicated in New York County courts.
