About the role

HashiCorp is hiring a senior product marketing manager to lead our cross-portfolio initiatives. HashiCorp became the industry leader in cloud automation through an amazing collection of open-source projects that are now downloaded over 500 million times each year. The company is now rapidly building out its commercial offerings to capitalize on this momentum and help the world’s largest organizations effectively and consistently adopt cloud automation across all of their development teams.

Owning and evangelizing this story is where you come in. 

This role includes collaboration with senior leadership from R&D, sales and marketing to ensure the message is right, creation of the foundational assets that bring this story to life, steadfast leadership and evangelism to inspire adoption in all appropriate channels, and data-driven inspection and course correction as needed to meet your targets.

In this role you can expect to deliver:

  • Product positioning and messaging — Develop and iterate positioning and messaging anchored on customer aspirations, product truth, and competitive reality
  • Marketing campaigns — Partner with the demand generation team to create the top line campaign for the company to generate interest in our solutions and build pipeline
  • Content creation — Use your domain knowledge, technical expertise, and understanding of our target personas to build the content that best explains the business value of our commercial offerings
  • Sales enablement — Create and maintain content to educate our sales team and the partner community on how best to position the HashiCorp portfolio for long-term value creation
  • Platform engineering community — Develop a deep understanding of goals, challenges, and opportunities faced by your primary target persona, the platform team. Create and implement a plan to accelerate the productivity of this constituent
  • Cross-team collaboration — Work with the product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams to ensure your initiatives are effective and driving results for the company 

What you’ll need (minimum qualifications)

  • 6 years of software product marketing experience
  • Familiarity with the cloud infrastructure and/or security domains
  • Deep customer focus and curiosity
  • Self-starter with the ability to analyze ambiguous situations, develop a plan, execute and iterate
  • Proven history of successful collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and R&D teams
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal skills
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent experience in CS, Business, or a related field
  • Some travel required

What’s nice to have (preferred qualifications):

  • 7-10 years of software product marketing experience
  • Technical subject matter expertise in infrastructure and security, with a strong understanding of how cloud computing has impacted these domains
  • Solid understanding of the rise of agile approaches to development
  • Deep customer focus and curiosity
  • Self-starter with the ability to analyze ambiguous situations, develop a plan, execute and iterate
  • Solid history of successful collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and R&D teams
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal skills
  • Track record of successful executive engagement internally and externally
  • MBA preferred
  • Some travel required

$209,100$246,000 USD
The base pay range for this role in Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, New York (excluding NYC), Washington D.C., or California (excluding SF Bay Area) is:
$191,700$225,500 USD
The base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro) and Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:
$174,300$205,000 USD
