Connecting HCP Consul With AWS Transit Gateways

When HCP Consul was first introduced, users needed to ensure that they had a proper VPC peering connection in place to install and leverage Consul within their AWS environments. While this worked for smaller environments, it presented a bit of a challenge for more complex architectures that consisted of multiple VPCs. To solve for this, AWS users had to leverage a Transit Gateway (TGW) to facilitate connectivity between their various VPCs without having to peer them all to one another. Today, we are pleased to announce that HCP Consul now supports Transit Gateways, allowing organizations to add their HashiCorp Virtual Network (HVN) as a resource attachment.
