Solutions Engineering Hangout: Service Mesh Without Kubernetes

In this session we will explore how to build a fully functioning service mesh using Consul in five simple steps.

Some IT professionals assume that you have to use Kubernetes in order to have a service mesh. But that's not true. In fact, many mature organizations, with larger IT estates have to have a network infrastructure that can connect to environments containing VM, bare metal, and even mainframes in some cases, while still connecting to newer cloud native services.

HashiCorp Consul provides this type of networking bridge for enterprises, enabling cloud networking automation with a central shared registry to discover, connect, and secure services across any runtime platform and cloud.

What You'll Learn

In this webinar, HashiCorp solutions engineer Guy Barros will demo the steps needed to set up Consul for service discovery and then a full-fledged service mesh. No Kubernetes required.
