The annual, all-day virtual community event, HashiTalks, will return for its third iteration on 18 February 2021.
We are pleased to announce that the HashiTalks 2021 call for proposals is open for submissions from any technical skill level until 14 January 2021. Submit your unique use cases, technical talks, culture talks, and demos focused on HashiCorp tools.
Each confirmed speaker has a 30-minute time slot. That means we will confirm at least 48 speakers for this event.
HashiTalks is a 24-hour event that follows the sun and is orchestrated by the HashiCorp community team:
Outside of the annual event, regional HashiTalks serve users all over the world by giving them a platform to share knowledge with their local community in native languages.
In 2020, regional HashiTalks were embraced all over the world:
We want you to speak at HashiTalks! We are looking for use cases, technical talks, culture talks, and demos focused on HashiCorp tools.
Here are some topic ideas to get you started:
HashiTalks are brief, 30-minute speaking slots given from the comfort of a self-selected “stage.” Speakers livestream into the event to give talks from their home offices or living rooms.
Everyone that makes an effort to submit to the HashiTalks CFP is encouraged to join us for a series of speaker enablement sessions with an industry leader and QCon conference chair, Wesley Reisz. We aim to consistently empower anyone who has expressed interest in giving talks by providing opportunities to learn and improve their skills.
Talks given at HashiTalks will be recorded and posted to the HashiCorp Resource Library for community members to view and learn from and will give use cases a point of reference.
Attendees will ask questions in real time utilizing YouTube’s chat feature while you are giving your talk. All speakers are encouraged to hang out after their talk to answer questions, gather feedback, and interact.

“I love HashiTalks, both as a contributor and as a consumer. There is nothing better than delivering a great talk that others get value from, and then turning around and getting even more value out of a talk that another community member gives. I also love the fact that you can tune in at any time of the day to catch a talk, and if you missed one simply listen to the recording.”
— Gabe Maentz, HashiTalks 2019 Speaker
