»Empowering New Speakers

HashiTalks are brief, 30-minute speaking slots given from the comfort of a self-selected “stage.” Speakers livestream into the event to give talks from their home offices or living rooms.

HashiTalks are designed to be a safe space, and HashiCorp’s community guidelines and principles are top of mind while producing this virtual event.

Everyone that makes an effort to submit to the HashiTalks CFP is encouraged to join us for a series of speaker enablement sessions with an industry leader and QCon conference chair, Wesley Reisz. We aim to consistently empower anyone who has expressed interest in giving talks by providing opportunities to learn and improve their skills.

Talks given at HashiTalks will be recorded and posted to the HashiCorp Resource Library for community members to view and learn from and will give use cases a point of reference.

Attendees will ask questions in real time utilizing YouTube’s chat feature while you are giving your talk. All speakers are encouraged to hang out after their talk to answer questions, gather feedback, and interact.

Ned Bellavance, HashiCorp Ambassador, HashiTalks 2020 Speaker

“I love HashiTalks, both as a contributor and as a consumer. There is nothing better than delivering a great talk that others get value from, and then turning around and getting even more value out of a talk that another community member gives. I also love the fact that you can tune in at any time of the day to catch a talk, and if you missed one simply listen to the recording.”

Gabe Maentz, HashiTalks 2019 Speaker
