Preeti Somal is Executive Vice President of Engineering at HashiCorp, responsible for leading the company's engineering, security, and IT organizations. Since coming to HashiCorp in January 2018, she has helped scale the company’s products to enable the business’ strong growth. Before joining HashiCorp, Preeti was Vice President of Engineering Cloud Services at Yahoo!, where she led a portfolio of highly scalable services powering the company’s consumer and advertising business. Previously, she was Vice President of Engineering at Oracle before becoming Vice President of Engineering at VMWare, where she led a diverse product portfolio within the Application and Systems Management business unit. She holds a MS in Computer Science from the University of Georgia and Bachelors in Engineering from Punjab Engineering College, India. A Bay Area native, she’s passionate about educating the girl child in developing countries.
