Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and the Robot Dog

Can Terraform be used to deploy code changes to a robot dog? Of course—meet Astro.

Computer vision and the Robot Operating System have requirements that are different than datacenter or cloud systems. They're somewhat esoteric in nature. However, even this unusual use case benefits from HashiCorp tools like Terraform, Packer, and Vault.

What You'll Learn

In this talk, you'll see how Terraform and infrastructure as code principles are used to deploy code changes to a walking, talking, spatially aware robot dog named "Astro". This process includes all the network infrastructure and support software needed for operation.
