What We Do

At HashiCorp, we believe infrastructure enables innovation, and we are helping organizations to operate that infrastructure in the cloud. Our suite of multi-cloud infrastructure automation products —  built on projects with source code freely available at their core — underpin the most important applications for the largest enterprises in the world. As part of the once-in-a-generation shift to the cloud, organizations of all sizes, from well-known brands to ambitious start-ups, rely on our solutions to provision, secure, connect, and run their business-critical applications so they can deliver essential services, communications tools, and entertainment platforms worldwide.

We’re building a unique software infrastructure company with a different approach: rather than focusing solely on technologies, we build the workflows designed to solve the real-world problems of IT operators working with multi-cloud environments. We have community, enterprise, and cloud offerings with free and paid tiers across our portfolio of products, including HashiCorp Terraform, Vault, Boundary, Consul, Nomad, Packer, Vagrant, and Waypoint. Our products were downloaded by software practitioners more than 450 million times last year, and we take our responsibility to our community very seriously.

Who We Are

We are a growing team of people who are deeply passionate about the work we do and the difference we make for our customers and community. We have adapted the best practices we learned from our roots in the world of open source software — effective remote and distributed teams, high levels of transparency, and ways of working that are flexible and scalable — into best practices for how we run every aspect of our company. We believe these practices encourage participation from a wider range of voices, surface better ideas, and lead to more effective, and inclusive decision making.

  • We are cultivating community.

We have always been deliberate in how we determine when a role needs to be in an office, hybrid, or remote. No matter where you are, we work hard to create an inclusive and equitable experience for our community of all employees.

  • We are creating opportunities.

Our hypergrowth means huge career growth potential for our people to expand their roles and solve new problems as we address the most important problems in enterprise infrastructure.

  • We are building a once-in-a-generation company.

By focusing on workflows instead of technology, our suite of infrastructure tools empowers the world’s most advanced organizations to deliver innovative services for people around the globe.

Open Source at Our Core

Our open source ethos is at the core of what HashiCorp is. Building tools to improve the workflows needed by today's platform teams requires access to and coordination of a multitude of systems. By developing in the open and keeping our source code freely available, we build software in a way that establishes a community where people are engaged and work together to help to solve issues for themselves and for others.
