We're expanding the HashiCorp Cloud Engineering Certification program with a new Consul Associate certification.
Since the launch of our HashiCorp Cloud Engineering Certifications in April, thousands of people have passed the Terraform Associate and Vault Associate exams. Starting today, you can become certified with our Consul Associate exam as a way to demonstrate proficiency in Network Automation. Study for and purchase the exam today.
Network data transfer and authorized access have always been one of the more complicated — and important — aspects of computing infrastructure. The complexity has increased even more with modern cloud networking across multiple datacenters and multiple cloud providers. Dynamic, flexible network perimeters are now separate from physical barriers and single-point access firewalls. Consul was built from scratch to solve these problems securely with the developer experience you've come to expect from HashiCorp tooling.
Early participants in the HashiCorp Cloud Engineering exams have told us that the exams test for practical, real-world knowledge rather than obscure facts. They have used the exams to demonstrate their proficiency to potential employers, to skill up within their current company, or as a milestone in their personal study program. If you're already familiar with Consul, you might be ready to take the exam after a week or two of study. If you're starting from scratch, consider dedicating a few months to preparation.
Visit HashiCorp Learn for a list of exam objectives with links to documentation, videos, interactive scenarios, project-based tutorials, and sample questions. All of these resources are available free of charge. Sign in and click the bookmark icon to build a list of documents to study from.
Community members and HashiCorp Ambassadors have also created independent sample exams. Although these exams are not vetted or curated by HashiCorp, you may find them useful after you have studied the materials listed above.
Our Associate exam price remains at $70.50 USD per attempt. We are keeping prices as low as possible to ensure that Associate exams are accessible to you.
The certification exams are taken online and facilitated by a proctor via video conferencing so you can take the exam from home or work. The proctor verifies your identity, goes over exam procedures, and stays with you during your exam. Read answers to the most commonly asked questions in our Exam-taker Handbook.
In response to your feedback, we've migrated to a new industry standard exam platform that will provide you with the best online proctored exam experience possible.
We are reaching out directly to everyone whose previous exam purchases are affected by this change. See our migration FAQ for more information.
HashiCorp will inform you of your test results immediately upon exam completion. We have partnered with Credly’s Acclaim platform to offer you a digital badge upon passing the certification exam. This service is included in the exam price and acceptance is up to you. Sharing your badge via social media such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter links back to a real-time verification feature that describes your qualifications and lets you gain instant recognition from your professional network. You can also include the badge in your email signature or digital resume, or embed it on your personal website or blog. Share it on social media with the #CloudEngineer, #TerraformCertified, #VaultCertified, and #ConsulCertified hashtags.
All three Associate Cloud Engineer exams are available today and can be scheduled at a time that works best for you.
We at HashiCorp are committed to helping you operate cloud infrastructure in a reliable, secure, automated way. The HashiCorp Cloud Engineering Certifications have already become a benchmark for multi-cloud competency as demonstrated by thousands of engineers.
